Artwork: Endless Summer, by Sue Yule
1 July 2021 – 30 September 2021 | Art Exhibition | St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, 457 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill Qld
Created by artists from Access Arts’ Brisbane Outsider Artists and Digital Media Workshops, the exhibition is sponsored by MinterEllison, and supported by the Lord Mayor’s Community Fund Central Ward.
Access Arts will host its third exhibition “Earth Footprint” within the walls of St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital from 1 July 2021 – 30 September 2021.
The ‘Earth Footprint’ theme was chosen by Access Arts’ artists. Each artist has found his or her own meaning and resonance within this concept. For some it relates directly to current ecological concerns and the impact that humanity has had on the environment. For others, it links to their own connection with nature: flora, fauna, and place. This exhibition presents as a quadrant of rich activity, as dynamic and diverse as the earth it relates to.
Access Arts is proud to shine a light on these talented Queensland artists and start a conversation about the need for greater recognition for artists with disability.
Access Arts acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We are committed to honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their unique cultural and spiritual relationship to land, water and seas and their rich contribution to society.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices and names of deceased persons.
