Our Visual Arts workshops provide participants with a supportive, inclusive and creative environment to engage with various artforms, encouraging positive social interaction, a strong sense of community, and artistic expression of each individual.
Anyone is welcome to attend these workshops, whether or not you experience disability and irrespective of your previous experience. Support is available to participate in all our programs. If you would prefer, we can work with you to develop a tailored program to meet the individual needs of your group. Feel free to contact us at any time to discuss your ideas.

Before attending the Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio (BOA), participants are requested to make an appointment with Access Arts to present and discuss their arts practice.
The Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio (BOA) is for artists who want to develop their visual arts skills.
BOA provides a self-directed learning environment in which artists are supported to reach their individual artistic goals. Artists receive development support, access to a variety of visual arts materials, and opportunities to exhibit in quality exhibitions.

This workshop is suitable for the complete beginner as well as the experienced artist. Learn new skills and have fun exploring traditional and non-traditional drawing and painting techniques.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to experiment and develop new techniques including 3D modelling, crafts and basic jewellery making. The Mixed Media Visual Arts Workshop is suitable for all levels.
All materials provided by us. Just bring your imagination!
Thursday — Join us for either a single session or full day of artistic exploration

Artists will have the opportunity create a variety of textile artworks such as soft sculpture, textile wall art, screen printing onto fabric and weaving. Artists will select one of their artworks to have printed onto a fabric item.

Artists will be supported in an individualised way to develop the business side of their arts practice. Potential areas to explore will be developing an online platform to sell their art, developing a social media presence, operating a small business, exhibition applications, digital skills such as photographing artwork and utilising editing programs such as photoshop.
