SAFE GRANT

Funding opportunities are closed until July 2024.

“SAFE is a way of saying thank you to Access Arts who gave us an opportunity to expand our life’s journey at a time when we needed it most. It is Marilyn’s strong creative spirit and love of art that inspired me to start SAFE and I hope that you will be able to join me in supporting this appeal”

What is a SAFE Grant?

A SAFE Grant is a one-off funding opportunity for emerging and professional artists with disability living in Queensland. It is designed to fund the costs (up to $1,000) of attending conferences, training courses, events or mentoring to help enhance an artist’s professional career.

Established in 2007 by Life Member Peter Vance, the SAFE is an acronym of ‘Sacred-Angel Arts Funding Empowerment’ – Sacred Angel after Angiosarcoma, the cancer that took Peter’s beloved wife of 44 years, Marilyn.

In 2019, CPL – Choice, Passion, Life committed to upholding the legacy of Peter and Marilyn for an additional 10 years, ensuring that the SAFE Grant will continue removing barriers and create accessible opportunities.

Funding opportunities are closed until July 2024.
