Access Arts is delighted to announce the appointment of the next Festival Director and Festival Producer for Undercover Artist Festival.
Festival Director – Madeleine Little is an accomplished performer, theatre maker, writer and access consultant. With a national reputation within the arts and disability sector, in 2019 Little won the Arts Access Australia National Leadership Award and was commended by the Access Arts Achievement Award panel of judges.
Festival Producer – Hana Tow is a producer, writer, director of film and theatre, and brings her diverse experience in the arts and business. Co-founder of theatre and film company Nineteenth Hole Productions (Canberra), Tow’s credits include Business Director for Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble, Business Manager/Producer for The Actor’s Theatre Collective (Melbourne) and Artistic Administrator for Queensland Theatre.
Little and Tow will lead and curate the third Undercover Artist Festival, Australia’s only professional festival that celebrates performing artists with disability. As the Festival has been postponed to September 2021 due to COVID-19, during 2020 Little and Tow will encourage Queensland performing artists to develop their practice through an Undercover Artist Grants Program* that will culminate in a virtual showcase in December 2020.
*Applications for the Undercover Artist Grants Program close Sunday 16 August 2020.
