Levi is a Brisbane-based emerging outsider artist and illustrator. She is from a family lineage of artists and has been making art with various media for as long as she can remember. Levi uses art to express her feelings toward her experiences and others. Levi uses humour and quirkiness to illustrate her personal and family life; the good and confusing.
While art helps her to express herself and recount experiences, it also illustrates her life as a female artist with a disability. Through her work, Levi aims to create greater awareness of ‘Outsider Art’, especially for those who may be in similar situations.
As the author of a series of autobiographical books, Levi plans to publish an autobiographical picture book that will illustrate her life to this point in time. She also plans to work on building a website, an online store, a second solo exhibition, a book launch, and animation.
Levi is a long-standing member of the Brisbane Outsider Artists at Access Arts.
Levi has exhibited in a series of exhibitions curated by Access Arts at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital including Time (2019), Dreams (2020), Earth Footprint (2021) and Dancing Colours (2022). She has also exhibited in a series of exhibitions curated by Access Arts at KPMG and Brisbane Powerhouse including Celebrating Difference (2019), Journey to the other side (2020), Visitors (2021) and Looking Back, Looking Forward (2022).
