Drawing from her own lived experiences, Sarah’s artwork aims to provide support and positive messages for individuals facing mental health difficulties. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to serve as a tool for healing and recovery through art.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Graphic Design and has showcased her work in prestigious venues such as Covent Garden in London. She has been published in The Association of Illustrators’ annual publication and has illustrated various projects, including an Italian cookery book, ESL education materials, and book covers, notably for George Orwell’s “1984”.
In addition to her exhibition successes, Sarah has sold her artwork at an auction benefiting the Footprints disability service and has participated in the RFQ 2024 exhibition. Her clientele includes numerous private collectors.
As the sole visual freelance artist for “Recovering with Art,” Sarah draws upon her 18-month experience in the Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Program at the Royal Women’s Hospital. She integrates psychological techniques into her creative process to produce practical resources aimed at promoting emotional well-being. These resources include calendars featuring weekly coping strategies, Christmas and greeting cards with uplifting messages, magnets, reflective notebooks, and emotional regulation/distress tolerance flashcards. Many of these materials are designed to be accessible to children, reflecting her commitment to supporting those with learning difficulties.
