For Peter, painting enables him to communicate and process his experiences, thoughts, and feelings.

Peter is a Brisbane-based artist and longstanding member of the Brisbane Outsider Artists. His artworks are inspired by diverse day-to-day life experiences and current events. For Peter, painting enables him to communicate and process his experiences, thoughts, and feelings.

Earlier career highlights include having artwork acquired by the Museum of Everything; winning the Arts Access Australia Art Prize; exhibiting in Sydney as part of Practice in Motion and showing work as part of The Soft Knife at Casula Powerhouse alongside a major exhibition of Carol Jerrem’s photographic work from the National Gallery of Australia.

Peter has exhibited in a series of exhibitions curated by Access Arts at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital including Time (2019), Dreams (2020), Earth Footprint (2021) and Dancing Colours (2022). He has also exhibited in a series of exhibitions curated by Access Arts at KPMG and Brisbane Powerhouse including Celebrating Difference (2019), Journey to the other side (2020), Visitors (2021) and Looking Back, Looking Forward (2022)
