She enjoys the element of storytelling, creating original fictional characters and bringing them to life. Themes of space, mythology, and AI are all intrinsic in her work.
Hayley creates artworks drawn from her personal experiences, of what it is like inside her mind, as an artist, neurodivergent and disabled person. Although this leads Hayley to often feel misunderstood, she believes that this also shapes her unique view and interpretation of the world, which she explores through her creative expression.
Hayley takes time to look beyond ‘normality’ and notice little details that she can transform into something magical. She rarely feels as though she is in the real world and allows her imagination to take her on many adventures, making mundane things beautiful and joyful. Hayley enjoys creating artworks that incorporate other worlds and loves to share these with other people.
Hayley finds it very calming, to be able to connect to her materials and artwork to forget about all the other things going on around her. She enjoys being able to retreat into her own little world and leave behind any bad feelings that she might have. Her cheeky, sassy, and imaginative personality shines through in Hayley’s creative style, whilst her shy and sensitive side is reflected in some artworks. She is currently working on a graphic novel in the hope to get it published one day.
