Belinda Peel

About

Belinda’s work reflects her love of the Australian lifestyle. Her artworks often include kookaburras and other bird life, pet dogs and sports.

Belinda visited art galleries from a young age with her father, where she was exposed to a variety of styles. Belinda has since selected elements that work for her to create her own unique aesthetic. Belinda’s artistic style is bold, free, spontaneous and colourful.

Belinda has explored many different art mediums, and currently favours water-mixable oils and water colours, depending on the surface. Belinda is a long-standing member of the Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio at Access Arts.

Belinda has recently exhibited in a series of exhibitions curated by Access Arts at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital including Time (2019), Dreams (2020), Earth Footprint (2021) and Dancing Colours (2022). She has also exhibited in a series of exhibitions curated by Access Arts at KPMG and Brisbane Powerhouse including Celebrating Difference (2019), Journey to the Other Side (2020) and Visitors (2021). Other exhibition highlights include IGNITE: 7 at the Department of Communications and the Arts in Canberra and Paralym Art World Cup in Tokyo.
