ALEXANDRA ELLEN

Alexandra Ellen is a Brisbane-based multidisciplinary artist, actor and musician who regularly performs with Indelability Arts. She calls her arts practice “therapeutic creativity.”

Growing up in the theatre Alexandra participated in workshops and performances throughout her schooling, writing her first play in year 12. In 2014 she was in Cash on Delivery (Ballina Players) and Remnants (Director, John Senczuk) in 2015. In 2017 she joined the Indelability Arts ensemble where she has since performed in Wilbur The Optical Whale as part of Adelaide Fringe.

In 2020 Alexandra was awarded a SAFE Grant which enabled her to attend Back to Back Theatre’s Come and Make Performance (CAMP) in Geelong, Victoria. CAMP is a weekend of theatre and art-making workshops for new and emerging artists. Following this she successfully applied for a Undercover Artist INCUBATE, which allowed her to develop the initial concept for her work ‘Conversations with My Walker’.

As the Access Arts Achievement Award winner, Alexandra plans to keep producing this piece in order to have it accepted into the Undercover Artist Festival 2021 programme.
