Access Arts is Queensland’s leading organisation creating opportunities in the performing and visual arts for people with disability or disadvantage.
Working alongside artists and other industry organisations, Access Arts drives a creative dialogue around how an inclusive arts ecology enriches our arts industry.
We exist to elevate artists working across both visual and performing art mediums, promoting the importance of their art through facilitation, advocacy and education.
We create development opportunities for visual and performing artists to grow their skills, pursue their artistic practice, showcase and sell their work. We advocate for equality for artists with disability within the arts industry.
We work beside our artists and believe the ability to engage in creative expression is vital to the realisation of their identity and meaningful growth within our communities.
We believe in an inclusive arts ecology that enriches our society.
Access Arts is pleased to announce that Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland, has agreed to be the Patron of Access Arts for the duration of her term in office.
Access Arts acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We are committed to honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their unique cultural and spiritual relationship to land, water and seas and their rich contribution to society.
