Access Arts will be delivering many of our Term Three workshops online.

Our Visual Arts workshops provide participants with a supportive, inclusive and creative environment to engage with various artforms, encouraging positive social interaction, a strong sense of community, and artistic expression of each individual.

Anyone is welcome to attend these workshops, whether or not you experience disability and irrespective of your previous experience. Support is available to participate in all our programs. If you would prefer, we can work with you to develop a tailored program to meet the individual needs of your group. Feel free to contact us at any time to discuss your ideas.

Enrolment and Fees
To enrol, please contact the Access Arts office via phone on 07 3505 0311 to ensure the workshop is right for you and to discuss fees.

COVID-19 Safe procedures will be in place for face-to-face workshops, including:

  • Sanitising hands when entering the studio
  • Temperature checks on arrival
  • Signing in and filling out a Health Declaration Form
  • Social distancing (staying 1.5m away from others)
  • Refraining from sharing any materials or equipment at anytime
  • Cleaning equipment upon completion of your workshop
  • Supervised social distanced entry and exits between each workshop

Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio (BOA)

The Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio (BOA) is for artists who want to develop their visual arts skills to a professional standard. BOA provides a self-directed learning environment in which artists are supported to reach their individual artistic goals. Artists receive professional development support, access to a variety of visual arts materials, and opportunities to exhibit in quality exhibitions. The BOA studio is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Before attending the BOA studio in Yeronga, participants are requested to make an appointment with Access Arts to present and discuss their arts practice.

Professional Artists’ Workshop

The Professional Artists’ Workshop is for artists who want to develop their visual arts skills to a professional standard. This workshop provides a self-directed learning environment in which artists are supported to reach their individual artistic goals. Artists receive professional development support, access to a variety of visual arts materials, and opportunities to exhibit in quality exhibitions. Our Professional Artists’ Workshop runs on Wednesdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm during term dates. Before attending the Professional Artists’ Workshop studio in Yeronga, participants are requested to make an appointment with Access Arts to present and discuss their arts practice.

Mixed Media Visual Arts Workshop

This workshop is suitable for the complete beginner as well as the experienced artist. Learn new skills. Have fun exploring traditional and non-traditional drawing and painting techniques. In addition workshop participants will have the opportunity to experiment and develop new skills in 3D modelling and make basic jewellery. Workshop suitable for all levels. All materials provided by us. Just bring your imagination!
