Our visual arts workshops are for artists experiencing disability who are seeking a creative workshop environment that is accessible, inclusive, and supportive. We offer year-round workshops for both experienced artists and complete beginners.

The Mixed Media Visual Arts Workshop is suitable for the complete beginner as well as the more experienced visual artist. Participants in this workshop will have fun experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques.
Artists receive guidance from trained and practicing visual artists and access to a variety of visual arts materials.
During the workshop artists will have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, air dry clay, collage, jewellery, and other crafts.

The Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio (BOA) is for artists with some experience, wishing to hone their artistic style. Artists will dedicate substantial time to creating art each week with the intention of exhibiting and selling their art.
The workshop provides a self-directed learning environment in which artists are supported to reach their individual artistic goals.
Artists receive guidance from trained and practicing visual artists, access to a variety of visual arts materials and opportunities to exhibit in quality exhibitions.

The Textile Art Workshop is suitable for both the complete beginner as well as the more experienced visual artist.
Artists will have the opportunity to create a variety of textile artworks such as soft sculpture, textile wall art, screen printing onto fabric and weaving. Artists will select one of their artworks to have printed onto a fabric item.
Artists receive guidance from trained and practicing visual artists and access to a variety of visual arts materials.

The Arts Business Workshop is suitable for experienced artists, looking for new ways to promote and sell their art.
Artists will be supported in an individualised way to develop the business side of their arts practice. Potential areas to explore will be developing an online platform to sell their art, developing a social media presence, operating a small business, exhibition applications, digital skills such as photographing artwork and utilising editing programs such as photoshop.
Artists will receive guidance from trained and practicing visual artists.
