ACCESS ARTS IS QUEENSLAND’S ACKNOWLEDGED LEADER FOR ARTS AND DISABILITY.
Our visual arts workshops are for artists experiencing disability, who are seeking a creative workshop environment that is accessible, inclusive, and supportive. Our workshops are for both experienced artists and complete beginners.
Join our Brisbane Outsider Artists’ Studio (BOA) – for artists with some experience, wishing to hone their artistic style. Artists will dedicate substantial time to creating art each week with the intention of exhibiting and selling their art.
Artists will create a variety of textile artworks such as soft sculpture, textile wall art, screen printing onto fabric and weaving. Artists will select one of their artworks to have printed onto a fabric item.
Performing Arts Workshops offer a supportive environment for performers with disability of all levels and experience. We offer year-round programs to provide a creative outlet for participants to express themselves in their own style of movement or music.
Learn Theatre and Dance skills, with our workshop integrating a variety of contemporary performance outcomes: including creative movement, stagecraft, improvisation and favourite drama games.
Our choir enjoys creating original songs, learning new songs and celebrating the classics! This workshop provides the opportunity to perform in a fun and supportive group.
