Shandelle McGregor

About

Five years ago, Shandelle discovered her passion for Persian and Islamic art. In particular, she is drawn to the mathematical and geometric elements of this style, finding a sense of peace in the precision, order, and repetition.

Shandelle has a strong interest in biomorphism, in which art echoes the naturally occurring shapes and patterns found in nature. The connection of this very precise form of art, with the organised chaos of nature is a source of constant inspiration.

Shandelle exhibited for the first time with Access Arts as part of Earth Footprint (2021) at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital and for the second time at the Visitors Exhibition at Brisbane Powerhouse (2021).
