Holden was an iconic car brand made for Australia by its American parent company General Motors. Holden was once a saddle shop (in 1956), then a motoring body building company. In 1931, GM took over the brand as GMH. On 29 November 1948,the first car was born. The final VF Commodore rolled off the production line in 2017. Holden was phased out in Australia from 2017 and by 2020 Holden was no more. While GM will no longer make cars in Australia, the Holden legacy remains, and the iconic brand will never be forgotten.
