A SAFE grant enabled Racheal Missingham to travel to Sydney to participate in Australian Theatre Forum 2015 as an independent artist. This national forum provided an opportunity for Racheal to share and exchange ideas, skills and knowledge with other artists and arts workers to strengthen social cohesion in the performing arts.

Racheal, who is deaf, returned with a deeper understanding of innovative theatre practice to be utilised in future creative projects.

“I am at a significant stage in my arts career to be able to thrive as a circus artist and arts worker, and strengthen, empower and mentor deaf and disabled artists in the arts sector. “

The Queensland Government has extended lockdown in South East Queensland in response to new COVID-19 cases in Brisbane.
Access Arts workshops will not proceed this week.
