Multiple Sclerosis, By John Briggs

John Briggs is a visual artist from Dutton Park in Brisbane who has since relocated to the UK. John was awarded a SAFE grant in 2013 to go towards Unframed, his exhibition at the Fortitude Valley gallery Jugglers Art Space.

What did the SAFE grant mean to John?

“An absolute life saver.  It enabled me to take my art to its natural progression – an exhibition!”

“As a result of staging the exhibition I leant about the other side of art – the presentation.  My art was a medium with which to communicate.”

“At the end of the day, the SAFE grant brings people together and they communicate, which is a good thing.”

The Queensland Government has extended lockdown in South East Queensland in response to new COVID-19 cases in Brisbane.
Access Arts workshops will not proceed this week.
