Angela has been the CEO of the Cerebral Palsy League (CPL) since 2008. She has almost 35 years experience in service delivery to the community. Prior to her CPL appointment, Angela spent over 30 years in the Commonwealth Government leading a number of high profile societal change programs. She is passionate about creating a better society for all and sits on a number of committees including National Disability Services in Queensland, the Ministers Advisory Group for NDIS implementation in Queensland and Cerebral Palsy Australia. She also holds directorships on the following boards: Ability First Australia (national disability organisation), Ability Round Table (benchmarking services in the disability sector) and One Therapy (therapy practice in the ACT).
The NDIS will bring a number of challenges for organisations currently delivering services to people with disability and their clients. The shift to individual funding requires a whole new way of thinking and operating. As such, Angela has spent the last five years preparing CPL and its clients for the changes. She is committed to using the NDIS and all of its opportunities to create a world where people with disability are valued for the contribution they make to our society.
