BOA Studio Web Gallery – Stephen Corti-Griffiths
Stephen first started painting around 20 years ago. He began studying a Certificate IV of Visual Arts at the QLD College of Art and regularly exhibited his work, until an accident in 2006 ago left Stephen with an acquired brain injury and reduced movement of his hands. This did not affect Stephen’s enthusiasm or determination to paint, as he started painting again six months after his accident.
Stephen is now a prolific painter, and has developed a unique style using acrylic and oil paint to explore his concepts of people, plants and places. Bright colours and patterning form an integral part of his work. Stephen also enjoys experimenting with photography and a range of printing processes and is a member of the Access Arts’ Camera Wonders Photography Group. Stephen’s regularly exhibits his work and has received several awards for his painting.
