BOA Studio Web Gallery – Peter Hughes

Painting enables Peter to respond to experiences and people in his life and social issues he views from news and media.  Peter combines text and figures in his work to create visually strong images and has worked in a range of mediums from pen to oil painting as well as water colour and acrylics. Peter’s early training in glaze combinations with pottery at the Monte Lupo Pottery Studio contributed to his interest in and strong use of colour in his paintings.Currently, he works in acrylic, pastel and pen and has exhibited his work regionally, interstate and internationally. Peter’s work is also in a number of private collections.
