Access Arts is delighted to present its end-of-year showcase featuring the brave new work of our artists and their collaborators:
Voices of Remembrance
In partnership with Queensland Music Festival, Access Arts is proud to present Voices of Remembrance, a statewide choral program that encourages communities across Queensland to commemorate through music the centenary of the signing of the Armistice.
Leaps and Bounds
Members of our Theatre & Dance Ensemble are joined by members of Blue Roo Theatre to lead you into a magical new world of theatrical circus and movement to mark International Day of People with Disability. This performance will be accompanied by members of Access Arts Rhythm Circle.
Facilitated by the award-winning Vulcana Women’s Circus, Eleonora Ginardi, Tim Brown, Velvet Pesu and Tich Mashawa, this grand finale performance is the culmination of the Leaps and Bounds series of workshops.
$10,000 Access Arts Achievement Award winner announced
The recipient of the Access Arts Achievement Award for 2018 will be announced by philanthropist and Access Arts Life Member Peter Vance at the conclusion of the performances. Peter has very generously donated the annual Award since it was established five years ago.
Please join us post-performance to meet the artists and have your say on creating Queensland’s future by participating in a community group consultation, facilitated by Arts Queensland, that will help steer the future of the arts. We would appreciate your insights and ideas on how the sector can deliver vibrant and accessible experiences for Access Arts and the broader Queensland community.
While you share your thoughts, we will provide you with festive finger foods and refreshments to celebrate the successful year that’s just been.
