Judith Baker

I am an artist living with a disability and discovered the magic of art in my later life. I love realist painting and find great pleasure in painting picturesque settings of images that make our sometimes less than perfect world a much brighter place to live.

I exhibit and sell my art and have held solo exhibitions and taken part in hundreds of others. I share my knowledge of art with students and both teach and do volunteer work in many varied facets of the art world.   I have had articles relating to my art practice published in top national art magazines.

Once I was asked what effect did my disability have on my art career? I have found that once my art is hanging on the gallery walls, my disability fades into nonexistence.

My favourite medium is oils and favourite subject matter is Australiana, Aussie Fauna and Flora and Figure work.
